Grant Thornton is seeking a high‑impact sales leader to help expand our Transformation Practice, with a priority focus on key ecosystem vendors including Anaplan, Pigment, and others. This is a true hunter role requiring a strong command of prospecting, qualification, and relationship development within complex, executive‑level sales environments.
This individual will play a critical role in strategically building our Transformation‑focused alliance and client base. The position calls for an experienced Business Development Executive with a demonstrated ability to open new doors, accelerate pipeline creation, and leverage both alliance relationships and senior‑level business connections across targeted Transformation accounts.
The successful consulting sales professional will bring a strong understanding of the EPM market and an established network of relationships across leading Transformation vendors. This role requires the ability to assess a client’s business and technology landscape, identify viable opportunities for Grant Thornton, and engage the appropriate internal and Alliance channel teams as opportunities are qualified.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who can help shape creative, practical solutions to client challenges and contribute meaningfully to the development of responses to client requirements and pursuits. All applicants must have a demonstrated record of accomplishments in successfully meeting and/or exceeding sales goals especially in a team based, complex selling environment.
Required Qualifications/Expertise
- The applicant MUST have a strong record of success in Professional services sales/business development
- Proven track record of solution based selling services at the CXO level
- Success selling Transformation related services to the enterprise at the $250 Million to Fortune 1000 revenue levels
- Deep understanding of the EPM/Supply Chain ecosystem
- Lead Generation - ability to source, identify and qualify leads
- Experience working across industry, geography and solution offering with sales and delivery leaders in a collaborative and team selling environment
- Strong knowledge and understanding of multiple industries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to collaborate in a team environment
- Demonstrated self-motivated, strong work ethic, proactive nature
- Proven track record meeting and exceeding services quota
- Ability to use various software programs to produce proposals, reports, presentations, spreadsheets, etc. (MS CRM, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Business or related discipline
- Immediate or near-term ability to connect with regional client base
- Minimum five years sales experience in a business-to-business or service industry
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary professional services firm, preferably public accounting
- Ability to develop long-standing relationships that lead to a premier positioning of Grant Thornton within a client organization
- Ability to conceptualize, articulate and drive successful marketing strategies and plans
- Experience identifying and developing business opportunities within client organizations
- Always possesses a high degree of integrity in all interactions
- Communicates openly and honestly with clients and the Grant Thornton team
- Consistently promotes and contributes to an effective team environment
- Readiness to travel. Must be currently eligible to work in the United States, position is not eligible for employer sponsorship

The base salary range for this position is between $211,600 and $317,400. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.
