Executive Director, Product and Commercial Strategy

Role: Lead overhaul of NCR Voyix product offering, translate into strategic sales roadmap, and drive execution in Win Rooms

Overhaul product offering, packaging, pricing, and sales governance:

  • Build customer / offering fact base: Catalogue current set of offerings and map to current customer contracts
  • Simplify, standardize, and bundle offerings into standard packages, customized by customer archetypes
  • Develop standard pricing and discounting
  • Build discounting rules and sales commission %

Develop strategic sales roadmap and launch win rooms to close new deals:

  • Develop customer engagement roadmap
  • Existing customers: (1) Drive more favorable renewal deals on existing scope, and (2) Expand share of wallet with additional offering
  • New customer: Aggressively win new logos 
  • Build standardized materials across new set of product packages  
  • Launch cross-functional Sales and Operations win rooms to develop tailored customer pitches, review responses, and close new deals
Team:
  • 2-3 associates / analysts
Required Skills:
  • Ownership and flexibility. Accountable to deliver project outcomes, able to find creative solutions when challenges inevitably arise.
  • Stakeholder management. Capable of rallying cross-functional groups of stakeholders with competing priorities and bringing them together to execute a common goal.
  • Team management. Strong leader that can effectively direct a team of junior project managers and analysts to achieve project deliverables, while providing caring coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
  •  Problem solving. Able to digest ambiguous context and conflicting perspectives, clearly structure the problem, and develop an actionable perspective on what needs to happen next.
  • Clear communications. Able to synthesize project status and conclusions into clear, simple executive-level communications (both via email updates and project presentations)
  • Project management. Experience creating a structured work plans (e.g. defining major milestones, deadlines, dependencies, stakeholders) and leading disciplined meetings (e.g. brining clear agendas, recapping action items and next steps, etc).
  • Analytical instincts. Able to structure analysis and desired outputs, think through data needs and limitations, coach team analysts through how to build models, and review to ensure the outputs and business conclusions are correct.
  • Background and Experience: The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, an analytical mind, sharp problem solving instincts, as well as a proven track record of delivering high-stakes projects.
