BELOW, ACCORDING TO WEEKS: 50 WEEKS - MAY 22, 2026 AND
46 WEEKS - MAY 22, 2026***
A transfer is defined as the movement of one employee from one worksite or one similar classification to another. Only positions represented by SEIU Local 221 are a part of the annual transfer process. An updated Qualification Grid is available upon request.
For reference:
- 50-week program – Staff recall date is Monday, July 06, 2026
- 46-week program – Staff recall date is Monday, July 20, 2026
Instructions to submit transfer request:
Individuals submitting transfer requests must complete an abbreviated application process using JazzHR, found on the MAAC Careers Website. You will be listing, in order of preference, the center location, position, program (HS or EHS) and number of work weeks for the upcoming program year PY 26/27. Answer the personal information questions.
- There are five (5) available options/spaces for up to five (5) choices.
- Under each section, start with the most desired:
- Select a location from the drop-down menu
- Type in the position you would like
- Select the program from the drop-down menu
- Select the number of weeks from the drop-down menu
- If you have fewer than five (5) choices, you can select N/A for the unnecessary options.
- If you want to transfer from a Lead Teacher—Head Start position to a Lead Teacher—Early Head Start position, ensure that your transcript reflecting your earned infant toddler required units is on file with Human Resources or attach it to your request.

Failure to submit a transfer request will result in being assigned to a position based on the level of seniority within your current job classification.
