Circle is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to primarily support the tax operations function. This role will be hands-on and execution-focused, with responsibility across operational transfer pricing, indirect tax compliance, and direct tax compliance. The role will also support discrete components of the global income tax provision process and participate in tax-related special projects as needed.
What you'll work on:
- Supporting day-to-day tax operations, including data collection, calculations, journal entries, and reconciliations across multiple tax types.
- Assisting with operational transfer pricing calculations, intercompany true-ups, and related accounting entries, in coordination with finance and accounting teams.
- Assisting with indirect tax compliance (e.g., VAT, GST, sales/use tax), including data preparation, filings, and coordination with external advisors.
- Assisting with domestic and international direct tax compliance, including workpaper preparation,data gathering, and coordination with external service providers.
- Supporting specific components of the global income tax provision process under US GAAP and
- IFRS, including data preparation, reconciliation, and analysis.
- Assisting with tax audits, notices, and information requests from tax authorities.
- Monitoring changes in tax laws and regulations and assessing operational impacts.
- Collaborating cross-functionally on routine and ad-hoc tax reporting requests and tax-related projects.
What you'll bring to Circle:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MS in Tax and/or a CPA preferred
- 2 to 5 years of income tax compliance and financial reporting experience with a combination of large public accounting firm and corporate tax departments
- Experience managing relationships with external advisors and auditors
- Ability to prioritize and communicate workloads to ensure tasks are completed timely
- Organized, detailed, proactive, self-motivated, collaborative, multi-tasker, and creative
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS, and G-Suite
- Experience with Oracle Financial Consolidation Close Cloud Service (FCCS), Oracle Account
- Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS), and Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud Services (TRCS) preferred

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.
Base Pay Range: $112,500 - $147,500
