As a Transactions Specialist II within the Payment Operations Deposit Review team, you will play a crucial role with high customer impact involving remotely deposited items. Your responsibilities include following detailed procedures and instructions to review negotiability criteria and fraud detection all while maintaining the highest standards of production and accuracy. Your critical thinking, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. 

Job responsibilities 

  • Process and clear transactions, adhering to established routines and procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 
  • Handle customer inquiries and requests related to account balances and transactions, providing a positive customer experience at all touchpoints 
  • Escalate non-routine issues to senior team members, applying common sense and experience of similar situations to identify potential solutions. 
  • Contribute to innovation efforts by applying knowledge of artificial intelligence and automation to optimize transaction processes. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market products and industry regulations, using this knowledge to ensure compliance in all transaction activities. 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills  

  • Basic knowledge of banking transactions and check autonomy
  • Be comfortable with processing work-type in a specific, repetitive sequence 
  • Be self-motivated to consistently meet monthly performance targets
  • Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Tools
  • Strong analytical skills
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Work Schedule

This position is a weekend hybrid schedule with off days of Tue/Wed. This is not a fully remote position. Work Week is Thursday to Monday 10:00am-6:30pm, Sat/Sun 8:00am-4:30pm. A Shift Differential is included.
