Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist designated transaction manager with implementation of real estate plans with an understanding of the client's strategic real estate goals.
- Draft and create a variety of analyses and relevant documents, including but not limited to, project initiation, scope of works, market comparable reports, letters of intent and broker's opinions of value.
- Assist with project initiation and scope definition, prioritization of assignments and adherence to client-driven priorities, commitments, and milestones.
- Closely monitor clients’ critical dates to alert transaction manager and client of upcoming events.
- Actively participate in client meetings to take ownership of project progress, meeting minutes and required follow ups.
- Develop basic financial analysis templates for clients.
- Collect and enter portfolio data ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Ensure all documents are properly and timely stored in SharePoint for easy reference.
- Closely track all transaction activity through Work in Progress (WIP) reports, prepare close out reports, invoices and account for all savings results achieved on behalf of clients.
- Monitor and maintain a real estate project tracking system to ensure timely transaction completion, prepare reports and make presentations to relevant parties.
- Understand how to review, analyze and interpret financial analysis templates including cash flow projections, NPV (net present value), IRR (internal rate of return) financial analyses to enable clients to make informed decisions.
- Work closely with internal Lease Administration, Project Management, Facility Management, and Finance/Accounting teams to ensure integration between service lines.
Background and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in real estate, finance or a business-related discipline preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in real estate and/or leasing
- Demonstrated ability to work, interact and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and build positive, lasting professional relationships
- Ability to multi-task, pay attention to details and manage time wisely
