Description
The Training Supervisor, Quality Assurance is responsible for supporting training initiatives to drive
operational efficiency and enhance workplace performance. This position is responsible for the
effective development and training for all team members. This position is responsible for assessing
developmental and process improvement needs to drive training and QA initiatives. This position is
responsible for developing and executing innovative strategies to ensure the organization has the
necessary skills and competencies to meet company business need.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with leadership and cross functional teams and individuals on training processes to
ensure training needs and requirements are met
Provide training, guidance and support to employees
Assess and monitor daily workflow to ensure timely completion of tasks
Develop, maintain processes to further enhance the training needs within the company
Create and revise procedures supporting the administration of training courses
Compile key metrics of training program and run management reports
Facilitate face-to-face training including new hire orientation, LMS administrator training,
and lab training
Act as first point of contact on technical, procedural, and policy questions
Continually refine and improve the training curriculum based on feedback from customers
and training evaluations
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and has access to
various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job.
The employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and
Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first
30 days of hire. Just maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.
The employee must pass a post-offer criminal background check.
Qualifications
3+ years of work experience in Clinical Laboratory or Biotech industry preferred or a relevant
combination of skills, education, and experience; 1-2 years leading small to mid-sized teams
Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Software or equivalent
ASQ or SQA certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
● Knowledge of CLIA/CAP/NYS regulations, ISO 13485 standard and/or FDA QSRs (21 CFR 820)
● Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
● Good technical writing and communication skills
● Independent worker, a self-starter with strong organizational and planning skills
● Has an ability to be productive and successful in an intense work environment
● Has the ability to work in a team environment and cross departmentally
● Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Compensation & Total Rewards
The compensation package listed is for 1st year OTE, which are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. On-target earnings (OTE) represent the total potential income an employee can earn by achieving 100% of their performance goals. It combines a base salary with commissions and serves as an estimated figure rather than a guaranteed amount, providing a guideline based on average performance outcomes.
