The training specialist will be responsible for improving the competencies of individual employees by designing and conducting training programs that will enhance employee workplace performance in alignment with company’s core values. This individual will be responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing and delivering curriculum and learning materials and for managing all phases of training interventions. This individual will also be responsible for interfacing with Operations and Human Resources in order to understand the training and developmental needs of the company from a cross-functional perspective, so that they can be proactively addressed through robust training initiatives that will produce short-term and long-term results. In short, the training specialist will be responsible for enhancing the individual and collective skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work
produced.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Responsible for delivering technical, job specific, or soft skill training
 Translating organizational requirements into trainings that will enhance knowledge, proficiency, or personnel development
 Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their results
 Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals.
 Design and expand training and development programs based on the needs of the organization and the individual
 Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work behavior
 Assist with talent management, succession planning, and personnel development
 Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and continually incorporate these improvements into the developed training programs
 Coordinates or performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs
 Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs and utilizes relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods.
 Devise, track and update individual learning plans and the curriculum assigned to each functional
department
 Establish cross-functional partnerships to ensure alignment and the standardization of processes from a learning and development perspective
 Advance and support any required compliance or professional development training delivery on site
 Understand e-learning techniques, and where appropriate, create and/or delivery e-learning packages, programs, or techniques
 Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
