What we offer:Job Responsibilities:
- Confers with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies
- Develops internal training programs and determines appropriate instructional methods, teaching aids, and media for effective transfer of knowledge and skills
- Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as standardized work practices, technical competencies, and interpersonal skills
- Assists in developing training initiatives
- Collaborates with all departments for technical training programs and proficiency testing
- Tests employees to measure progress, evaluate effectiveness, and basic skills
- Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods
- Provides guidance and resources for plant wide training programs
- Upholds and promotes Nascote’s 14 Lean Principles through daily activities.
- Assists Training Coordinator with sourcing and coordinating outside training resources
- Coordinates Human Resource projects as assigned
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all employee related matters and information
- Maintains an acceptable attendance record
- Maintains a clean and safe work area
- Participates in department meetings
- Completes documentation of activities as required
- Submits cost reductions and innovation ideas
- Performs other tasks as assigned
- 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing setting, preferred
- Previous training experience or six month related experience, or equivalent combination of developing and presenting training programs.
- Ability to interpret technical data, processes, operating instructions and procedures.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to develop and proof training materials
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees
- Strong problem solving and computer skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Required: BA/BS degree in a Human Resources/Training Field
