Training Specialist
Pay range: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
This is a remote position. Candidates must be located in California.
The Training Specialist is responsible for supporting training operations across the Home Office and community locations, with a primary focus on Learning Management System (LMS) administration, training compliance tracking, and onboarding support. This role ensures that required training is assigned, monitored, and completed in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including user setup, course assignments, troubleshooting, and system updates.
- Monitor required training completion across multiple communities and departments, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Track training progress, completion rates, and overdue assignments; follow up with communities and department leaders as needed.
- Generate and distribute regular compliance reports to leadership, highlighting gaps, trends, and areas of risk.
- Assist in onboarding processes by assigning required training, tracking completion, and ensuring new hires meet compliance timelines.
- Support onboarding coordination by collaborating with HR, community leadership, and department heads to ensure a smooth training experience for new employees.
- Maintain accurate training records, documentation, and audit-ready files for internal and external review.
- Assist with preparation for audits, surveys, and compliance reviews by ensuring training records are complete and accessible.
- Coordinate updates to training content within the LMS, including uploading materials, managing versions, and maintaining course catalogs.
- Respond to LMS-related inquiries, troubleshoot user issues, and escalate technical concerns when necessary.
- Create, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to training compliance and LMS workflows.
- Communicate training expectations, deadlines, and compliance requirements clearly to stakeholders across multiple locations.
- Provide training and ongoing support to community leaders and department directors on effective Learning Management System (LMS) utilization, promoting self-sufficiency and consistent training administration across communities.
- Collaborate with department leaders and subject matter experts to develop, maintain, and continuously improve role-based training plans, ensuring assigned learning aligns with operational needs, regulatory requirements, and departmental best practices.
- Able to travel based on need and priority.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related field.
- Experience supporting onboarding and training programs in a regulated environment (healthcare, senior living, etc.).
- Familiarity with compliance requirements related to training and certification tracking.
- Experience generating reports and analyzing training/compliance data.
- Exposure to HRIS, LMS reporting tools, or compliance tracking systems.
- Prior experience supporting multi-site operations.
- Strong communication skills, able to organize and prioritize work, take initiative and collaborate or work independently as the projects require.
- Must pass a Criminal Background check.
- May require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
