Role Summary:
The Training Specialist is responsible for the effective development, coordination, presentation, and documentation of training programs to support Flowserve’s internal and external customer training. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to engage in technical conversations with a varied audience. The Training Specialist will maintain and create instructional materials, including technical theory, practical demonstrations (hands-on training), and visual presentations.
Responsibilities:

Deliver content via in-person training, virtual modules, and other digital training methods to both internal and external customers.

Create, revise, and facilitate web-based training, instructor-led classroom training, and virtual training programs.

Assist as a subject matter expert in the development of course materials and content related to areas of expertise.

Manage metrics, course outcomes, evaluations, and feedback, while establishing processes and methodologies to ensure the effectiveness of Flowserve training program delivery.

Perform maintenance on existing training materials and training equipment to ensure they are up to date.

Maintain and validate the course regularly through workshop activities, ensuring alignment with new models, processes, and updated software.

Perform and train others in root cause analysis.

Ensure adherence to SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) and OSHA regulations.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a relevant industry (e.g., pumps, valves, seals).

Passion for teaching and working with people.

Strong written and verbal communication and public speaking skills.

Ability to engage with customers confidently, whether face-to-face or via telephone.

Proficient in PC skills and experienced with Microsoft Office Suite.

Willingness to travel as required.

BS or BA Degree in a relevant field with substantial years of relevant experience.

Competency in reading P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation) drawings and data sheets.

Knowledge of mechanical measuring tools.
Preferred Experience / Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Demonstrated team-oriented working style, valuing communication, participation, and collaboration.

Ability to work independently with high levels of self-management, making decisions on task prioritization.
