Responsibilities
- Conducts Classroom Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Mobile Team Training (MTT) to military personnel or civilian equivalents and other System Administrator personnel in the systems management, cybersecurity, configuration, administration and troubleshooting of CANES.
- Implements and executes CANES instructor-led or facilitated training courses using standardized practices and procedures to train military/civilian personnel.
- Provides subject matter expertise to test and maintain curriculum.
- Conducts individualized and classroom/lab/training sessions, works on problems of diverse scope, and determines methods and procedures for improving the training environment and curriculum.
- Instructs labs that reinforce the information discussed along with System troubleshooting, providing a further understanding of the interaction of all CANES system components.
- Administers knowledge tests and remediation practices.
- Provide technical reviews and edits for current and emerging CANES curricula.
- Provides experience/expertise in the support of the prevention of damage to, protection of, and restoration of computers, electronic communications systems, electronic communications services, wire communication, and electronic communication ensuring data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and nonrepudiation.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Navy Shipboard Networks to include CANES, or other TACNET systems.
- Experience with three (3) of the following four (4) areas: Network Administration, System Administration, Technical Documentation, and Training.
- Three (3) years of professional training experience in the training development environment.
- Recognized expert who has demonstrated expertise in C4I Networks and System Administration.
- Technical Training in TACNET, or other Navy C4I systems Administration and Maintenance.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Psychology, or related training systems discipline.
- Working towards Training Certification in Navy’s Basic Instructor Training (either NEC 805A or 9502) or a current industry standard trainer certification, such as Microsoft Certified Trainer
(MCT) or CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+). - Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) qualified in 12 months.
- Active Secret Clearance walking in the door.
