The main responsibility of this position is to support the training, development, and elevation of retail teams in Japan as we continue to grow.  This person will be responsible for facilitating engaging trainings with direction and content from global and regional teams.  This role is responsible for driving topline business results through retail store teams and the overall retail business of Japan.  

Responsibilities

  • リテールトレーニングに関して、将来のマーケット計画をサポート

  • Support and Train Store Managers in how to lead onboarding training sessions for new hires 
  • Determine training needs both for individuals and teamsin partnership with the Retail Senior Manager of Japan, Retail Director for APAC, and Global teams  
  • Lead the retail team in trainings to support driving business metrics 
  • Apply various retail training techniques (e.g. gamification, case studies and group activities) 
  • Organize engaging role-playing activities to simulate real life, in store experience scenarios  
  • Maintain updated records of training curriculum and material 
  • Support market planning for the future in regards to retail training  
  • Lead by example following our ARC’TERYX leadership code and values 

Requirements

  • ビジネスレベルの英語スキル 
  • 一般的なIT / PCスキル、Excel、Word、PowerPoint 

  • Availability to travel and visit our retail stores, as needed 
  • Ability to manage the full training cycle, including conducting in-person activities and using e-learning platforms 
  • Excellent presentation skills 
  • Ability to motivate employees to achieve retail sales targets  
  • Work experience as a Retail Trainer, Sales Trainer, or similar role leading a retail team in western brands preffered 
  • Experience in retail industry 
  • Native-level fluency in Japanese is a mandatory requirement 
  • English skill (Business level)     
  • General IT / PC Skill, Excel Word, Power point
