The Training Manager serves as a strategic leader in employee learning and organizational development. This role is responsible for assessing training needs, designing and managing training programs, overseeing learning systems and resources, and partnering with leaders across the organization to ensure employees have the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to perform effectively. The Training Manager will drive consistent training practices, measure program effectiveness, and support a culture of continuous learning and development.

Primary Responsibilities:  

  1. Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of companywide training and organizational development programs aligned with business priorities.
  2. Manages the planning, delivery, and evaluation of training programs, ensuring content, schedules, resources, and facilitators are aligned to operational needs and employee development goals.
  3. Oversees employee enrollment, participation tracking, training communications, and support processes to ensure a positive learning experience for employees and leaders.
  4. Partners with business leaders from multiple departments including Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, Operations and other areas to identify learning objectives, performance needs, and appropriate training solutions.
  5. Manages relationships with external vendors, consultants, and training providers to support curriculum development, program delivery, and specialized training needs.
  6. Owns the Learning Management System process, including training assignments, completion tracking, reporting, records accuracy, program assessments, and training metrics.
  7. Develops and executes training strategies, program designs, and enhancements with input from leadership and key stakeholders to support business objectives and workforce capability.
  8. Measures training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, feedback, participation data, and performance outcomes; recommends improvements based on findings.
  9. Manages channel training for groups such as Reps, Dealers, Consultants, and Specifiers.
  10. Manages training logistics, tools, materials, facilities, and vendor-supported resources to ensure programs are delivered efficiently and professionally.
  11. Evaluates and recommends learning technologies, software, collaboration tools, and training methods that enhance accessibility, engagement, and program effectiveness.
  12. Maintains and governs internal training content, resources, and platforms to ensure materials are accurate, current, compliant, and aligned with company standards.
  13. Conducts skill gap analyses, training needs assessments, and workforce capability reviews to inform new programs, refresher training, and development priorities. 
  14. Possesses knowledge and understanding of the InterMetro Code of Business Ethics. Contributes to a workplace environment that is conducive to the maintenance of the Code. Remains alert and sensitive to situations that could result in actions by an employee that are illegal, unethical, in violation of the Code or the policies and procedures that support the Code. Reports actual or perceived violations of the Code or Company policies and procedures for appropriate action.
  15. Other duties, as assigned. 
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related Business discipline.


Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in training, learning and development, organizational development, instructional design, or a related field; prior experience managing training programs, learning systems, or cross-functional training initiatives preferred.


Leadership Experience: Experience leading projects, partnering with business leaders, influencing stakeholders, and managing vendors or training resources preferred.


Systems/Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems, training metrics, Microsoft Office applications, and tools used to design, deliver, track, and evaluate learning programs.
