The Opportunity
Are you passionate about technical training?
As a John Deere Training Instructor, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs for our dealers, company personnel, and customers. Your efforts will ensure that participants acquire the skills, knowledge, and capabilities they need to succeed.
Our training programs cover a range of topics, including products, services, and professional skills, with a strong focus on product features, applications, and system technologies.
Role Objectives:

  • Lead the development and or adaptation of content, training materials and activities for classes in technical, parts and management training for dealers and company employees aligned to the business objectives.
  • Oversee assigned training programs, managing resources and content to achieve training goals. You will be responsible for the overall success of the programs and continuously review and improve training outcomes.
  • Conduct training sessions for dealers, establishing clear objectives and outcomes. Create a dynamic learning environment and develop lessons, activities, and assessments to ensure high-quality results.
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of training courses through participant feedback and assessments to ensure that objectives are met. Make necessary adjustments to course materials and delivery methods to enhance learning experiences.
  • Stay current on training topics and industry developments to enhance your subject matter expertise in products, applications, machine systems, and professional skills.


About You
With a strong passion for technical training and adult education, you are an energetic self-starter and an excellent team player who takes pride in your work and fosters a positive working environment.
What Skills You Need

  • Experience in training or a background in technical or product applications.
  • Sound knowledge / awareness of C&F industry and associated technology
  • Experience in training or a background in technical or product applications.
  • Exceptional, engaging communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Experience in leading and facilitating training and are comfortable managing the room
  • A strong desire to learn, an inquisitive nature, and a passion for personal and professional development for yourself and others.
  • Ability to self-evaluate and embrace continuous improvement practices.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently when needed.


What Makes You Stand Out

  • Understanding of the adult learning environment
  • Experience in crop or turf production systems


Education / Experience:
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in Training, Technical or Engineering disciplines, will be highly desired.
