The Equinix Summer Internship Program offers wide-ranging opportunities in within the Finance organization. Spend your time gaining practical work experience and learning from some of the sharpest minds in the industry. Overview of function, team and the role 

The successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to shadow and assist GOA instructional design staff. We are looking for individuals with excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills. They should also be skilled with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. The ideal candidate can do accurate, detailed work, closely follow processes, is creative, and has a strong desire to produce very relevant work that helps with specific job tasks. Additional skills with Photoshop or Illustrator are a plus. 

The Global Operations Academy (GOA) is responsible for providing training to enable Equinix Operations employees to serve customers. There are over 5,000 Operations employees across the globe, and most of them work in our data centers doing technical jobs. They rely on the GOA to help teach them the knowledge and skills they need for their jobs.    

What you will be doing (Responsibilities/Tasks) 

Summer Project:  

• Gathering documents, videos, images, and web site links to support training products   

• Reviewing and testing eLearning courses  

• Reviewing documents to support training   

• Creating training roadmaps/flowcharts for learners  

• Creating graphics and images for training  

• Conducting research on business challenges, environment, and learners  

• Creating content for courses: text and images  

• Writing instructional design documents 

• Working on real-life projects that will add true value and have a big impact on our business   

• Opportunity to network and collaborate with other interns across the globe 

• Take part of our summer program with executive speaker series, networking events, shark tank project presentations and much more! 

Potential Projects   

• Data center technician training creation  

• Data center engineer training creation
