We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated and experienced Training & Development Coordinator to our HR Department located in our office at San Pedro Sula.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, schedule, and deliver training programs tailored to truck drivers, including onboarding for new hires and ongoing development for experienced drivers.
  • Ensure training aligns with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Support fleet managers in identifying training gaps and solutions for driver development.
  • Guide supervisors in the performance evaluation process as it relates to training needs.
  • Develop easy-to-understand training toolkits, videos, manuals, and digital resources.
  • Maintain up-to-date content on internal learning platforms (e.g., LMS) relevant to trucking operations, compliance, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor training completion, certifications, and compliance deadlines.
  • Create reports and dashboards to track training effectiveness and driver performance improvements.
  • Work with the safety team to integrate safety protocols into training.
  • Collaborate with HR on driver development plans, career growth paths, and retention strategies.
  • Conduct needs assessments and gather feedback from drivers and managers to identify skill gaps and training opportunities.
  • Develop programs that support career progression (e.g., transitioning from local to long-haul driving, or into supervisory roles).
  • Assist in developing driver-specific assessments and screening tools.
  • Participate in onboarding processes to ensure new drivers are equipped for success from day one.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in training and development, preferably in a transportation or logistics environment.
  • Knowledge of trucking operations, DOT compliance, and driver-related regulatory standards.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to create training content in various formats (digital, print, video).
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and hands-on training methods.
  • Advanced English skills
