About the Role
As a Training Coordinator at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring training programs that support operational excellence, employee development, and workforce versatility. Reporting to the VP, Operations Training and Continuous Improvement, this position requires strong organizational skills, training expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with leaders across the facility.
You will work closely with management, supervisors, and floor leads to identify training needs, evaluate employee progress, and ensure team members receive the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed. This is a full-time, onsite role located in Kansas City, MO.

What You’ll Do
Develop, implement, and monitor training programs that support employee development and operational goals.
Consult with management and department leaders to assess training needs and identify skill gaps.
Collaborate with floor leads and supervisors to support the ongoing evaluation and appraisal process for production team members.
Evaluate training effectiveness and update training materials and curriculum as needed.
Manage documentation, tracking, and reporting for employee participation and progress within the Department Mastery Program (DMP).
Coordinate and monitor cross-functional training initiatives that promote workforce versatility and development.
Conduct new hire orientation sessions and onboarding training.
Develop training materials, presentations, multimedia resources, and instructional guides.
Deliver training through classroom instruction, demonstrations, on-the-job training, workshops, meetings, and other learning methods.
Provide performance feedback and training progress updates to facility management.
Facilitate continuing education programs and leadership development initiatives.
Build strong cross-functional relationships with supervisors, managers, and production teams.
Provide logistical support for training programs, including scheduling, coordination, delivery, and evaluation.
Assist in the development and execution of strategic training plans.
Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
3+ years of training, learning and development, or workforce development experience.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Proven ability to manage the full training lifecycle, including needs assessment, planning, development, coordination, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
Ability to analyze training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
Ability to maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance.
