Overview of the position:
This position will be based out of Teach the
World's Karachi office and will play a pivotal role in training on-ground field
staff and school staff. The Manager Training will be responsible for creating
teaching and learning materials, developing a training plan, training master
trainers, and monitoring training quality. The ideal candidate should have a
strong background in education, instructional design, and training
facilitation, along with a passion for promoting education in underserved
communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Training Needs Assessment: Identify training needs from varied sources for all trainings and
determine learning outcomes and learning plans accordingly.
- Create Teaching and Learning Materials: Create engaging, innovative, and culturally sensitive teaching
and learning materials that cater to the specific needs of the target
population. These materials should incorporate best practices in pedagogy and
ensure effective learning outcomes. Make necessary use of e-learning for scale
& cost-effectiveness.
- Design Training Programs: Develop training plans
encompassing onboarding, capacity building, and continuous professional
development of field staff, and classroom facilitators - using both in-person
& e-learning approaches. Ensure the training programs are aligned with the
organization's mission, vision, and values.
- Conduct Training: Deliver training
sessions to school staff and field staff, providing them with the necessary
knowledge, skills, and resources to effectively train and support classroom
teachers and facilitators.
- Monitor Training Delivery: Implement
a robust monitoring and evaluation system to ensure the quality and
effectiveness of training delivery. Regularly assess training outcomes, provide
feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with the Operations team and other key stakeholders to ensure
training materials and programs are implemented smoothly. Coordinate with the
Content & Curriculum team to ensure alignment of training materials with
learning outcomes.
- Stay Updated on Education Trends: Continuously research and stay informed about the latest trends,
methodologies, and pedagogical best practices in education & training
especially pertaining to e-learning.
- Build Relationships: Foster strong
relationships with local partners, educational institutions, and relevant
organizations to leverage resources, share knowledge, and enhance the impact of
Teach the World's training initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in education and training, preferably in
the context of underserved communities.
- Proficient in using educational technology and digital tools to
enhance training delivery and materials development.
- Strong knowledge of K-5 education systems and teaching
methodologies
- Experience in designing and delivering training programs, with a
focus on adult learning principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the
ability to adapt content for diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage
multiple projects simultaneously.
- Cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in
a diverse team environment.
- Fluency in English and Urdu is required and knowledge of Sindhi,
while not necessary, is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel to
field locations for training

It establishes and deploys scalable models of literacy and learning by leveraging digital technology, providing interactive education games via tablets and smartphones to out-of-school children in resource-constrained regions such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Malawi.
