Job Function:

Saddle Creek Logistics Associate Trainers are responsible for providing new associates with high quality, professional, consistent, and documented training while acting as a liaison between department management and new associates.  Training Associate are responsible for working with department supervision in order to properly administer and document training for all new associates. Training Associate will participate in Saddle Creek operations while training and providing direction to assigned personnel.  

Role Expectations:

  • Provide training on processes and procedures for associates who are new to the company or department
  • Develop a standardized Training Calendar for new associates that meets approval from supervisor and manager
  • Identify any deficiencies in current training processes and report findings to supervisor
  • Ensure that training SOP documents are complete and updated
  • Maintain associate training files for each associate
  • Provide Supervisor with honest and objective recommendations and feedback
  • Provide Supervisor with training updates at regular intervals
  • In association with supervisor, conduct forklift skills testing during interviews
  • Perform periodic spot checks on associates once they are outside of one-on-one training window, document and report to supervisor
  • Share observations with associates and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement
  • Follow up on previous recommendations with both supervisors and associates
  • Trainer will give supervisors continuous recommendations/updates on the associates’ overall progress
