Job Description:
The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for the development, delivery, and tracking of the various training programs for the employees at SKBA. These include onboarding and training programs for all levels of employees, as well as more specialized training for technical content and professional development. This frequently requires coordinating with third-party training vendors and SKBA employees receiving the training to ensure their punctual attendance and completion of the training. Detailed and reliable documentation of employee training records must be maintained by the Training Specialist and available to report to management on short notice. This position will require regular presence at the offsite and/or third-party training locations as needed.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop training materials and curriculum
- Develop training curriculum/materials for the general workforce and for targeted disciplines/technical areas.
- Prepare lesson plans relevant to training materials.
Deliver training and monitor training effectiveness
- Deliver presentation materials, training/guides/manuals, course evaluations, etc.
- Perform training lectures for all levels of employees.
- Coordinate training schedule based on training requirements.
- Monitor training personnel records to ensure that employees have met all company training requirements for company and regulatory compliance.
- Review course evaluations to judge the effectiveness of training sessions and to implement employee suggestions for improvement.
Vendor management
- Select and/or oversee vendors to develop training content or conduct training.
Other tasks as assigned by manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required, preferably in HR, Business Administration, or other related fields.
- Minimum 1-3 years of related experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft office suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience using learning management system (LMS) strongly preferred.
- Intermediate or higher proficiency with Adobe suite.
- Curriculum development experience a plus.
- Training experience required.
- Strong communications skills required.
