ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are searching for a sales trainee to join our global sales organisation in a role which will see you rotate across different commercial departments to learn and grow into an established technical sales professional. This role will be for an initial 18 month period, based in/around the our plant in Ghent, but also going to our Lier plant and Amstelveen office, and will see you learn about Greif’s steel, plastic and digital printing manufacturing.

ROLE DETAILS:

Reporting to Greif’s National Sales Manager, we are looking for someone who is willing to learn and understand the technical aspects of our products to ensure you are effective in providing legendary customer service.

TYPICAL ACTIVITIES:

  • Work in the departments of Sales, Technical Sales, Customer Service / Inside Sales, and Global Key Accounts.

  • Visit Greif sites and attend occasional customer visits to understand how Greif delivers legendary customer service.

  • Regular interaction with colleagues from production and logistics to learn about Greif’s manufacturing and associated processes.

  • Undertake activities to support the relevant sales team in achieving their goals and budget objectives.

  • Learn and use Greif’s sales tools to track and provide sales information related to budget, sales achievements, and market penetration.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Either a commercial or technical education background.

  • An interest in both the technical and commercial aspect of selling.

  • A willingness to learn, grow, and develop.

  • Able to build relationships and be social, in order to integrate into different teams.

  • Dutch and English is required.

  • Experience working with an ERP package, a CRM package is an advantage. Proficiency with MS Office is a must.
