As a Trainee at GE Aerospace, you will join a world-class team dedicated to inventing the future of flight. This program is designed to provide high-potential students with hands-on experience in a real manufacturing environment. You will support key projects that impact safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) while developing your professional skills under the mentorship of industry leaders.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Process Improvement: Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives (Kaizen events, 5S, and Standard Work) to optimize production lines.
• Project Management: Assist in the tracking and execution of engineering or administrative projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Data Analysis: Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Technical Documentation: Help update and maintain manufacturing blueprints, work instructions, and quality compliance records.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside production, quality, and supply chain teams to solve daily operational challenges.
• Sustainability & Safety: Participate in EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) audits and initiatives to ensure a safe working culture.
Required Qualifications
• Education: Currently enrolled in the final year (last 2 semesters) of a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineer, or similar
• Language: Advanced English proficiency (bilingual). Must be able to hold conversations and write reports in English.
• Status: Must be a proactive student with a valid internship agreement
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Availability: Ability to work 30 hours per week at the Hermosillo plant.
Desired Qualifications:
• Lean Mindset: Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma tools.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, resilience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
