Role: Trainee Machinist

Trainee Machinist salary starts at £25,875.02 (plus shift allowance), increasing to £27,442.58 (plus shift allowance) after successful completion of a 6 month training programme. Following this there is further potential as you work your way up the levels, so if you are ambitious this is the role for you.

What you’ll be doing:
Operate machinery safely at all times
Keep work areas clean and tidy, following a “clean as you go” approach
Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures
Show a willingness to learn and develop into a skilled machine operator
Work as part of a team to meet production targets
Complying with lean manufacturing principles
Who we’re looking for:
A positive attitude and willingness to learn a skilled trade
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
Good practical skills and an interest in engineering or manufacturing
Ability to follow instructions and work safely
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
A proactive approach and eagerness to develop new skills
Previous experience or qualifications in engineering/manufacturing (desirable but not essential)
