Located in beautiful Charlotte, our Ad Operations unit has a unique opening for a Traffic Specialist. Based at our state-of-the-art Hub, this position supports Hearst Television’s 33 stations across the country. From processing orders, preparing daily logs, and completing general ad operations duties, you will provide support and solutions to sales team members and sales management at stations in assigned markets.
Job Responsibilities:
Primary role is to provide back up for when other Specialists are out of the office. Daily duties could include one or more of the following
- Prepare and maintain on-air logs through careful management of commercial inventory
- Maximization of both revenue and inventory for a group of stations
- Utilize innovative problem solving and decision-making skills to achieve station goals
- Printing and exporting of stations daily program logs
- Receive all traffic instructions (original and revisions) from station clients
- Interpret commercial copy and agency instructions
- Build instruction/rotation sets for assignment in WideOrbit and assign instruction sets to applicable orders
- Review “Missing Instruction” report and communicate to agency and station personnel regarding missing commercial instructions and material
- Maintain electronic files of all commercial copy instructions
- Responsible for accuracy of entering station advertising orders
- Responsible for checking orders in WO against what was submitted by the station
- Assist in the implementation of HTV Best Practices and SOPs

Experience:
- Must be computer literate and experienced with Microsoft Office
- Experience with WideOrbit system preferred, but not required. Will train the right candidate
