Agiliti services the hospital industry, providing rental equipment, equipment management services, and equipment maintenance to hospitals in a time-sensitive fashion.
The Traffic Operations Lead’s primary role is to plan and execute the daily shipping movements of Agiliti Inventory moving through freight carriers. This includes directly overseeing Truckload, LTL, Special Handling, and Air/Ocean movements, as well as indirectly overseeing small parcel. The Traffic Operations Lead acts as a liaison between the Agiliti Operations Team and Agiliti’s transportation vendors. The Traffic Operations Lead will also act as a local shipping contact for the Corporate facility and serve as a consultant for the field related to shipping operations, shipping systems, and shipping methods. This position will report directly to the Rental Program Director.
Responsibilities
Act as key contact for all freight and shipping questions and requests
- Executing Freight Shipments
- Tracking and Tracing
- Mitigating shipment issues
- Act as main contact for shipping at Corporate Facility, including some package management
- Act as on-call contact for necessary customer contracts
Collaborate with Director to create and execute long-term strategy
- TMS Enhancements
- Operational Efficiencies
- Integration into ERP(s)
- Evaluating new carriers, executing RFPs, contract negotiations
Manage systems, reporting, and analytics
- Maintain Shipping Database/TMS
- Audit Freight Shipment Invoices and allocate accordingly, dealing with discrepancies
- Upkeep weekly, monthly analytics
- Design Ad-Hoc analytics as requested by other cross-functional teams and Director
- Conduct Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews
Partner with business units to drive innovation
- Act as Transportation Subject Matter Expert for cross-functional teams
- Establish SOPs
- Partner with business leaders on project-based customer logistics
- Consult on new customer opportunities, contracts, etc.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in general business field or supply chain logistics; equivalent experience will be evaluated
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in supply chain logistics/freight management
