Manage and optimize programmatic advertising campaigns on The Trade Desk platform. As a Trading Analyst in Tokyo, you won't just manage campaigns — you'll be the strategic intelligence layer between data and decisions, helping Japan's leading brands and agencies unlock the full potential of data-driven media. If you're fluent in both numbers and narratives, and you want your work to matter at scale, this is your role.


What you'll do:

  • Master The Trade Desk platform and become the go-to-expert on campaign management best practices
  • Drive client growth by owning optimization strategies for your assigned portfolio — translating complex data signals into actions that directly grow your clients' business
  • Combine data analysis and client feedback to create optimization strategies and provide the most effective solutions for campaigns
  • Partner cross-functionally with Account Management and Business Development to provide support to clients, including onboarding and optimization training
  • Be the strategic voice that proactively advises clients and internal teams using data-driven insights from trading optimizations
  • Shape the product by collaborating with Product Management to define features and drive platform enhancements
  • Champion The Trade Desk's value proposition, technology, and partnerships to deepen client relationships and grow accounts

Who you are: 

  • 3-5 years of working experience in a data-driven role (programmatic, analytics, ad operations or similar)
  • Bilingual fluency in Japanese & English — you'll work across languages daily with clients and internal teams
  • Excellent client facing & management experience
  • Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to look for opportunities for improvements and changes
  • Strong story-telling skills
  • Advanced MS Excel / data visualization skills
  • Strong quantitative skills and the ability to draw insights from extremely large datasets
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by building new approaches in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
  • Additional experience with SQL, R, Tableau or Python is a plus
