The successful candidate for the Trading Solutions Engineer role will possess a strong understanding of trading platforms and will have experience in client onboarding, implementation, and training.  The Trading Solutions Engineer is responsible for understanding client needs and mapping those needs into configurations and parameters that will achieve their trading objectives.

This role is critical in ensuring that client needs are met on an ongoing basis as well as to ensure clients are well-equipped to utilize the trading platform to growth their business. Key responsibilities include trading pre-sales support, trading demonstrations, solution configuration in to existing parameters, trading onboarding support, and advanced trading supporting for existing clients.

This is the right position for a highly motivated professional with a positive attitude who wants to obsess over our customers while bringing extensive trading knowledge to make a difference in advisor’s businesses.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Charlotte, NC office.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the sales team and customers to understand their trading requirements and identify specific challenges they face during pre-sale support
  • Demonstrating a strong grasp of trading systems, technologies, and solutions to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Assess and identify client trading needs and manage the configuration, training, and setup for process for prospects, new clients, and existing clients including strategies, tax management needs, drift parameters, and rebalancing rules
  • Prepare and deliver trading demonstrations that highlight value proposition of Assetmark Trading Platform, tools, and other trading capabilities that address specific client needs to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including trading, sales, service, relationship management, product management, and product engineering, to ensure a smooth transition to ongoing support. 
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and competitor offerings to remain a valuable resource for both sales teams and customers. 
  • Deliver training sessions to new clients, covering the functionalities and features of the trading platform to ensure they can make informed trading decisions
  • Provide trading support and assistance to clients post-onboarding to address any questions or issues they may encounter
  • Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure a smooth transition for clients and maintain a high level of satisfaction.
  • Gather and analyze client feedback to identify areas for improvement in the onboarding and training processes.
  • Key participant in resolving and improving customer experience cases
  • Trade accounts on a periodic basis to maintain a full understanding of all aspects of trading.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects, data analysis, and strategic initiatives as needed
  • Proactively identify and communicate risks to leadership
  • Draft knowledge articles and circulate documentation that explains trading with a customer facing translation that can be used by Sales and Service teams
  • Regularly review and update external-facing trading documentation to ensure it is current and accurate

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Experience in client onboarding or training, preferably in the financial industry
  • Strong understanding of trading platforms and financial markets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exercises sound judgment and makes timely, well-informed decisions
  • Experience with Vestmark & APL Trading tools

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in operations, trade reconciliation, or similar role within financial services

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $85,000-$105,000. This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits. 

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in trade operations or a closely related role.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US; employer cannot provide visa sponsorship.
