Job Summary:
As a Trading Services Team Leader within our Fund Services Trades team, you will be responsible for the preparation of day-to-day activities in accordance with SOPs and within agreed client deadlines & SLA's. This role provides an opportunity to develop your analytical skills, work within a team, and build key internal relationships across locations with partner sites.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare day-to-day activities in accordance with SOPs and within agreed client deadlines and SLAs.
- Conduct self-review of activities performed before handing them over to the reviewer.
- Analyze client accounting records, raise queries, and escalate any potential issues identified, where appropriate.
- Escalate concerns about anomalies in any activity that may result in audit findings for clients.
- Assist in resolving team queries and act as a reference point for junior team members on technical, accounting, and audit-related matters.
- Liaise with partner sites for external deliveries and communicate status effectively and promptly to local management and partner sites.
- Interact with stakeholders to respond to any accounting-related queries that may arise.
- Recognize and act on opportunities to improve processes, including developing and making recommendations for change, and encourage the team to propose ideas for efficiency.
- Ensure all risk and control checks are adhered to, follow all required checklists and SOPs, and ensure they are up to date at any given point.
- Liaise with the OCM (internal control) team on any issues that arise and need to be reviewed.
- Complete end-of-day checklists and other end-of-day hygiene activities.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Graduate in Commerce with over 3 years of experience in Fund Services Trades or a strong understanding of financial markets.
- Postgraduate degree with expertise in Finance, Accounting, Trade Capture, or Reconciliation.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to build key internal relationships, with attention to detail and analytical review capabilities in Fund Accounting.
- Knowledge and understanding of Mutual Funds and NAV.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines during peak times.
- Skilled in implementing change, seeking efficiencies, and managing initiatives alongside daily tasks.
- Excellent communication, time management, and prioritization skills, with a focus on results and self-motivation
