The Role

The DTC Division of SEUK are on a mission to make purchasing direct from Samsung the best way to own and experience a Samsung Product. Whether it’s purchasing through Samsung.com or within our Premium Retail outlets within Selfridges and Harrods, we’re looking to make shopping with Samsung a joy – offering the full Samsung range and compelling financial propositions – backed up with the best possible Samsung Service.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

  • Deliver on our DA commercial growth objectives, exceeding revenue and share of critical metrics (including sales revenue, volume sales, share of SEUK DA business and premium growth and profitability)

  • Develop and implement DA commercial strategy for D2C

  • Develop/deliver of a compelling always on proposition to buy from Samsung.com, considering finance offers (affordability), unique valuable offers (tactical complementary delivery/installation service per sub category/per margin rich lines), and trade-up programmes.

  • Delivery of a promotional plan in collaboration with/supported by the divisions that supports both their and our business plans, enabling us to deliver our :

  • AOV target and increase (e.g. bundles)

  • Margin targets

  • To work with the Innovations manager to build an extended range/service proposition.

  • To monitor stock situation with divisional account manager/D2C SCM team

  • To monitor/benchmark retailers to inform how we deliver market competitiveness and differentiation, using tools.

  • To work with the partnership to continue to expand a new route to market

  • Ensure our competitive pricing policy is well executed at all times.

  • To collaborate with our commercial finance team to ensure the promotional plan is viable to deliver our margin numbers.

  • To build effective and collaborative relationships with internal partners (SEUK, and HQ), including regular forward planning meetings.

  • To continually analyse/evaluate and share the effectiveness of our proposition and promotional mechanics to identify and deliver continuous financial improvements.

  • To liaise with the online marketing team to ensure they are fully briefed to maximise the benefits from our proposition and promotional plan.

  • To ensure the trading and content team are fully briefed to deliver the proposition and promotional plan through our online experience.

  • To project manage the proposition for new routes to market, e.g. establishing and evolving our contact centre sales capability.

Your key people management responsibilities – Leading Others Only – currently t.b.c

  • Provide clarity on strategy, team purpose & value and define the key areas of focus and direction.

  • Support the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities.

  • Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety.

  • Ensure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT’s and relevant business updates.

  • Manage the on boarding, off boarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team members.

  • Manage all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner.

  • To be accountable for ensuring your team are aligned with company processes and procedures; such as compliance, meeting mandatory business cyclical deadlines, and understanding the company values.

What does success look like?

  • Establish DA DTC as a solid, profitable, top 3 x retailer to the business

  • Achieve DA revenue/SOB profit target

  • Analysis of daily/weekly performance and develop immediate counter-plan after identification of the performance gap vs target

  • Initiate/lead regular plan/review sessions with DTC / DA division’s partners in the form of weekly/monthly planning/review meeting

  • Fully comprehend division’s business/performance proposition and develop optimal execution/extra unique DTC execution/further proposition

  • Able to deliver a planned and flexible approach to accommodate last minute change/opportunities.

  • Continue to build a strong relationship with divisional and other DTC team members

  • Positive/passionate for the success/Determined/resilient/proactive
