We are searching for self-motivated, reliable, energetic Trades Assistant to join the great team in Henderson.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting our Mechanical Tradespersons to strip, assess and rebuild mineral processing equipment.
  • Preparation of inspection reports
  • Maintain a commitment to Quality by following FLSmidth Quality Policies and Procedures
  • Refurbishing of equipment
  • Perform a range of manual tasks associated with the role
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools as directed by management.
  • Clean and prepare workshop/customer sites as needed, including removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials to eliminate possible hazards

 

What you bring

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • A genuine desire to learn all aspects of the job
  • At least 2 years Trades Assistant experience in a mineral processing industry is desirable
  • Current Manual Car Drivers License.
  • Ability to be read and understand engineering drawings.
  • High Risk Work Licence - LF and DG (Forklift and Dogman) Preferred
  • Professional work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Ability to follow the directions of senior tradespersons
  • Positive, proactive approach to safety and can-do attitude
  • Physically fit
