Trademark Attorney (m/f/d)
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trademark Attorney (m/f/d) with expertise in trademark law to join our team in Germany. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of intellectual property rights, particularly in the area of trademarks, and will be responsible for managing our trademark portfolio, enforcing trademark rights, advising on trademark strategies, and ensuring compliance with relevant company policies, laws and regulations.

In addition to the gross monthly salary, the salary for this position (full-time) consists of various special payments. Depending on your experience, you can expect an annual starting salary of between 105.000,- EUR and 120.000,- EUR in this position.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Trademark Attorneyfor Deere & Company located in Mannheim, Germany you will advise on legal issues related to trademark including the following
- Manage and maintain the company's trademark portfolio in European and CIS countries, including filing, prosecution, and renewal of trademark registrations
- Knowledgeable about trademark searches, trademark availability, and risk assessments
- Advise on trademark enforcement, including monitoring potential infringements and managing opposition and cancellation proceedings for European and CIS countries
- Draft and negotiate trademark agreements
- Collaborate with an internal team to develop and implement trademark strategies aligned with business objectives
- Collaborate with business partners, other Intellectual Property and Law Department colleagues, and other stakeholders to provide leadership, expertise, and solutions to the business
- Provide training and guidance on trademark issues to internal stakeholders
- Stay updated on changes in trademark law and intellectual property trends in law through continuing legal education, reading, and participating in professional associations
- Assist in the development of brand protection strategies and policies
What Skills You Need:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in trademark law, preferably in a law firm, corporate or government intellectual property department
- Strong knowledge of German and EU trademark laws and regulations
- Proficiency in both German and English in writing (including grammatical usage, persuasive copy and style); additional languages are a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours to support global business operations

Education:

- LL.M or equivalent legal degree from an accredited institution
This exempt position is based in Mannheim and vacant immediately.
