As a Trade Support Specialist at Gelber, you will have a real opportunity to have a long-term career in Information Technology at a successful trading firm. You will work side by side with other talented individuals as the first line of defense for the firm. This role is for someone who flourishes in a fast-paced environment, has a strong work ethic, clear communication, and has a strong interest in growing their technical skillset. This position will report directly into the head of Trade Support who reports directly into the Chief Operating Officer.

What you'll do:

  • Provide first and second level support for all Gelber employees
  • Provide primary real-time monitoring and support for all trading software and secondary monitoring for technical infrastructure
  • Monitor all Gelber proprietary applications and systems
  • Communicating across the team as well as with all trading and internal desks, including technology, across the firm

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of work experience
  • General understanding of Windows and Linux
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Understanding of Python and Powershell are not required, but must have a desire to learn
  • Strong critical thinking skills and sense of urgency when it comes to support
  • Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 50lbs
  • Flexibility with work schedule, including rotating schedule for on call on weekends and second shift (1-10pm central)
