ower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks an Execution Trader to join one of our trading teams.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with traders and the team to operate and implement our automated trading strategies
- Monitoring production trading for risk and responding to potential issues or changing market conditions and escalating when necessary
- Managing risk, reconciling positions, interacting with exchanges and Tower’s broader production tech support teams
- Developing programming scripts and applications to automate and facilitate our trading processes
- Willing to work regular weekend and odd hour shifts to provide coverage and be the key point of contact during these periods
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar field from a reputable university
- Experience with Linux OS, Python, and developing Python scripts
- Good understanding of basic object oriented programming and good programming practices
- Excellent problem-solving, mathematical and quantitative reasoning skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills and adept to a team environment
