As Trade Support Analyst within EMEA Equities Middle Office (EQMO) you will partner with off-shore and out-sourced functions to provide core operational oversight and front office investor support throughout the equities trading life cycle with a particular focus in start of day (SOD) reconciliation, trade support and corporate actions. You will swiftly absorb a new environment and understand the equity business requirements, the various global operating models, and where the team can add value. You will develop and maintain strong trusted relationships with key internal business stakeholders to ensure the function is operating effectively and efficiently.
Job responsibilities
- Ensures the accuracy of investment data used within the front office suite of applications and problem solve any discrepancies by performing SOD activities.
- Partners with EQMO teams globally to identify areas of opportunity to reduce risk and eliminate manual processes, utilising the firm's suite of intelligent automation tools.
- Delivers process improvement projects for the front office and support industry and market strategic programs of work.
- Provides support for on boarding of new and complex client operating models.
- Maintains a well-controlled environment through checklists, workflows, maintaining procedures and assisting with audit requests.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant operations experience in a similar middle office or front office support role.
- Knowledge of operations processes and technology with a sound understanding of the equities product life cycle.
- Ability to own and manage concurrent assignments effectively and efficiently.
- Self-starter, with ability to learn on-the-job and drive own self-improvement.
- Proven ability to problem solve and drive efficiencies
- Excellent analytical, time management, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective team player as well as comfortable working alone, adaptable to a changing environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience of convertible bonds, CFDs and corporate actions.
- End to end understanding of trade flows.
- Knowledge of current regulatory and market initiatives impacting Asset Management.
- Experience with intelligent automation tools Python, Alteryx, Tableau or Signavio BDM
