About the Team

Join a client-focused Trade Services team that serves as a key link between clients and internal operational partners. The team supports both domestic and international trade activity, helping ensure client needs are met while coordinating closely with multiple business lines across the organization.

This group plays an important role in delivering service, resolving trade-related inquiries, supporting settlement activity, and communicating updates that impact clients.

The Custody Operations Manager directly and through staff, manages and coordinates the operational activities for Trade Services. Ensures quality service and effective securities operations activities for all supported internal and external customers. Accomplishes results through the effective management of staff that may range from lower level non-exempt through exempt level professionals. Administers corporate policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Participates in the preparation of the department's budget, and is accountable for managing expenses and actively contributing to the achievement of department net income goals. Proactively manages operational risks associated with span of responsibility, including the identification of control gaps and the design of operational controls to mitigate risks and financial exposure to the organization. Participates in the review and recommendation of operational systems and procedures affecting assigned units, and coordinating system conversions from an operations perspective.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of experience in trust and securities operational functions
- Three to five years of management experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Thorough knowledge of trust and securities operational functions, systems, procedures, products and services
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles which directly affect Wealth, Corporate, Commercial, and Institutional Banking business lines and clients

- Familiarity with systems and platforms such as: DTC, FED, SWP, Trust 3000, ARES
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, organizational and project management skills
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent supervisory and management skills, including a well-developed knowledge of human resources
- Ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks
- Additional one to three years experience managing Managers preferred

Location Expectations

This role requires working from the above U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $86,360.00 - $101,600.00
