Trade Sanctions Analyst

Reporting to Honeywell’s Global Trade Sanctions General Counsel and working daily with Honeywell’s Sanctions Compliance team, the Trade Sanctions Analyst will be a trusted partner for Honeywell’s sanctions compliance program, helping to ensure continued compliance with United States, European Union, United Kingdom, and other relevant sanctions laws and to maintain an effective sanctions compliance program throughout the Company.

Responsibilities

• Assist with executing and implementing Honeywell’s sanctions compliance program, including working collaboratively with the Sanctions Compliance Team on risk management strategies.   
• Adhere to and implement sanctions policies and procedures and collaborate with the sanctions compliance team to identify and address gaps in sanctions compliance processes. 
• Work with the Sanctions Compliance Team, IT, other compliance functions and businesses to review, enhance, and build controls to support sanctions screening and reporting.   
• Perform screening and conduct due diligence of customers and transactions to identify and control for any relevant sanctions compliance risks. 
• Analyze escalations and perform required sanctions reporting on relationships and transactions.  
• Process sanctions reviews through internal request tool and manage communications more broadly across business/functional line management to assess complex issues, structure potential solutions and drive effective resolution within permissible statutory and regulatory frameworks. 
• Manage a portfolio of sanctions compliance projects as assigned. 

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• 3+ years-experience working with U.S. sanctions laws and regulations
• At least 1 year of government and/or regulated industry experience working on U.S. sanctions laws and regulations

• Bachelor’s Degree in any field 
• Proficiency in using sanctions screening tools and compliance software to identify and assess risks effectively 
• Experience analyzing complex regulatory information and applying it practically to business transactions and processes 
• Experience working with European Union and United Kingdom sanctions laws and regulations is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines 
• Strong attention to detail 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and can-do attitude 
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities 
• Strong communication skills 

The annual base salary range for this position is $83,600 - $104,800. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
