The On Trade Sales Executive (OSE), reporting to the Area Manager, manages all commercial activities across wholesalers, On Trade outlets, and wine shops within a defined area. The role combines strong selling and negotiation responsibilities, such as managing agreements, promotions, orders, and business development, with back-office tasks including forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking. The OSE is accountable for achieving both qualitative and quantitative targets, ensuring optimal product assortment, visibility, and overall sales performance within the assigned budget.
Main Activities
Develop and execute joint business plans with key customers to drive sustainable growth, market share, and brand value.
Manage day-to-day commercial performance across On Trade outlets, wholesalers, and wine shops, ensuring target achievement and implementing corrective actions when needed.
Drive sell-out growth by expanding distribution, optimizing in-store visibility, and increasing brand presence in target outlets.
Identify and onboard new business opportunities, strengthening partnerships with high-potential outlets and optimizing customer portfolios.
Negotiate, implement, and monitor commercial agreements to ensure effective assortment, brand visibility, and rotation.
Execute pricing strategies in line with company guidelines and monitor market and competitor pricing dynamics.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities, sharing insights to support strategic decision-making.
Track performance, evaluate initiatives, and provide actionable feedback to continuously improve commercial effectiveness.
Support sales forecasting, order management, and back-office processes.
Maintain accurate and timely reporting on field activities, customer visits, and sales performance.
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in a similar role within an FMCG company and holds a degree in Economics, Marketing, or Business Management. They possess a strong understanding of commercial dynamics, negotiation, and influencing skills, and are digitally savvy with familiarity in social media. Results-oriented and a collaborative team player, they demonstrate solid market knowledge, including trends and key players, to identify business opportunities. They have experience in planning and executing promotional activities, combined with creativity and innovation in delivering impactful solutions. A good grasp of P&L management, excellent communication skills, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) are required, along with fluency in Italian. A good command of English, both written and spoken, is a strong plus.

Compensation
We highly appreciate the expertise of our employees and are committed to offering them fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this role is €34.678 to €42.384, plus 19% variable pay and benefits.
Our company applies the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the food industry (Industria Alimentare).
