The Recommerce team operates within Zalando’s Emerging Proposition unit and is responsible for building and scaling Zalando second-hand solutions. Our unit is composed of two main propositions. With the Pre-owned Category, we offer buyers access to a selection of 250k+ items in like-new conditions at Zalando’s level of convenience. With our Trade-in service, we allow sellers to declutter their wardrobe fast and risk-free from gently worn pieces they no longer wish to wear. By being a part of the Recommerce team, you will be at the forefront of our endeavour to transform the fashion industry. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping these propositions and making a significant impact on the way Zalando is planning to win in the second hand space.
You will be part of the Recommerce (Trade-in) Operations Team that is responsible for the inbound processes of our Pre-owned items. As a Trade-in Operations Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high impact Recommerce projects in collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders. You will also serve as a proxy to the team lead, facilitating smoother delegation of responsibilities across the team.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

You'll be the Trade-in operations expert and go-to person for all logistical processes, from the physical flow to the systems behind them. With your in-depth knowledge of each step in the process, you'll anticipate needs as volumes grow, support teams in troubleshooting, and act as the bridge between the Recommerce business and the warehouse. You’ll facilitate information flows, assess test ideas, and foster Recommerce’s entrepreneurial mindset

You'll own and oversee the day-to-day Trade-in operations for pre-owned items, ensuring smooth, efficient processes. You'll monitor key performance metrics to track success and guarantee that operational goals are met

You'll improve and develop our quality standards for pre-owned items, taking ownership of training warehouse teams by collaborating closely with our onsite colleagues. You’ll consistently review and enhance our quality guides, keeping customer experience top of mind for both Trade-in and Pre-owned customers

You'll identify opportunities for operational enhancements and drive smaller process improvements to support healthy Recommerce growth, ensuring that all operations remain sustainable and cost-effective
