Trade Operations Analyst  

  

Location: London   

Contract Type: Permanent  

Work Pattern: Full Time and Hybrid (2 days in London)

 

About The Role 

 

This role reports to the Assistant Trade Operations Manager of MS Amlin Investment Management Limited (MS AIML). 

The role holder will be responsible for the undertaking the activities of the MS AIML Trade Operations team, including Transaction Reporting (EMIR, FinfraG, MiFID II, SFTR) 

 

MS Amlin is part of a global top-10 insurance group, MS&AD. We’re made up of four distinct businesses covering Global Reinsurance, Lloyds Franchise, Local Specialty Insurer, and Business Services  
 

MS AIML is the regulated investment management company of the MS Amlin brand (MSA). MSA is wholly owned by the MS&AD Group.  The investment clients of MS AIML include MSA companies and others in the wider MS&AD group.  

 

 

What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing 

  • Processing trading activity of various asset classes, fund subscriptions and redemptions 

  • Undertake collateral and margining requirements and associated activities ensuring accurate and timely settlement and escalating issues  

  • Responsible for the oversight of the delegated EMIR Reporting, working closely with MS AIMLs outsourced providers  

  • Responsible for ensuring the successful completion of FinfraG reporting 

  • Responsible for the oversight of MiFID II Transaction Reporting, ensuring data is reported in a timely and accurate manner 

  • Effective oversight of outsourced Trade Operational activity 

  • Asset Servicing - processing of various corporate actions and monitoring the lifecycle of events 

  • Key participant in Change Management activity and projects, internal and external stakeholders

What We Need From You 

  • 3 years of experience within Investment Operations 

  • Professional qualifications (IOC, IMC, ACT) is preferred 

  • Strong understanding of EMIR Reporting,  experience using Trade repository & portfolio reconciliation systems 

  • Strong understanding of MiFID II Transaction Reporting Requirements and related oversight activity 

  • Experience of SFTR Reporting and associated oversight activity 

  • Experience using a Treasury Management System, collateral management system and PMS such as Aladdin or Bloomberg 

  • Strong communicator  

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively 

  • Ability to analyse, problem solve and think strategically  

  • Intermediate Excel skills

What Can You Expect From Us? 

  • Competitive Base Salary 

  • Performance Related Discretionary Bonus 

  • Holiday: 28 days core annual leave, and you can buy up to 5 days  

  • Pension: A minimum 2% employee contribution plus 7% MS Amlin contribution (9%) up to a maximum of 5% employee contribution plus 13% MS Amlin contribution (18%)

  • Life Assurance: 5x annualised base salary
