As a Trade Lifecycle Associate within the Client Instruction Capture and Settlements team, you will support global trade processing, collaborate with Fails Management and Trades Support teams, and help deliver secure, innovative service solutions using the latest technology to promote user-focused experiences and operational excellence for our clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the workflow through the life cycle of Custody Trades
- Monitor and manage trade capture, fails management and settlement activities
- Address settlement discrepancies/issues and leverage escalation channels promptly
- Respond to queries relating to trade status and market practice
- Manage and control the daily workflow within the Custody Team.
- Maximize team capacity through effective resource planning and ensure team structure is robust through effective training and succession planning
- Provide effective communications to the department, ensuring staff are aware of strategic and regulatory changes in the organization
- Continue review of content and presentation of Standard Operating Procedures, in line with new policies and ongoing risk management activities
- Contribute to the strategic development of Custody products
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- 3+ years experience in an Operations role
- Strong Risk and Control Awareness: Ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills and able to handle difficult situations internally and externally
- Operational subject matter expertise in Reconciliation, Settlements, Fails Management, Trade Support, Risk and Control, and Custody
- Strong ability to learn ongoing stream of new markets, products, and processes
- Strong risk and control awareness, including the ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlines
- Confident communicator in all mediums with both internal and external clients
- Strategic thinker, ability to review and implement process improvements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferred
- Global Custody or Local Custody background
- Experience in driving projects and initiatives
- Familiarity with swift messages specifically MT54 series
- Good knowledge in MS Office Suite applications - MS Word, Excel and Power Point
- Capable of working under pressure and to cope with changing volumes, whilst maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Flexibility working on APAC and late APAC shift
