As a Trade Lifecycle Associate I within the Managed Funds or Fund of Funds Custody Operations team, you are responsible for processing deal placement and post-trade functions to ensure seamless operations and client satisfaction. You'll manage transaction workflows, act as a point of escalation, and contribute to the strategic objectives of the department. Your leadership will promote operational excellence, foster collaboration, and enhance process innovation, helping JPMorgan maintain its reputation as a leader in custody operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise workflow to prevent bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization by assessing work allocation.
- Act as a point of escalation for supervisors, providing support during high-volume days and monitoring error logs.
- Execute transactions for hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equities, ensuring adherence to controls and prompt escalation of risk items.
- Mentor supervisors, conduct staff meetings, and develop team performance to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Update SOPs and SLAs, ensuring compliance with audit regulations and maintaining documentation accuracy.
- Manage team projects, implement strategic objectives, and align operations with global standards.
- Engage with internal business lines and external auditors, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Focus on team deliverables and adherence to SLAs, ensuring consistent quality and client satisfaction.
- Provide guidance and constructive feedback to supervisors and team members.
- Strive to eliminate repetitive tasks and collaborate with client-facing teams on critical issues to deliver best-in-class service.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in finance industry operations.
- Experience in managing/implementing change.
- Knowledge of general and alternative investments.
- Sound knowledge of financial markets.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Tertiary qualification preferable.
- Project management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership qualities and team-building skills.
- Ability to manage change and meet strict deadlines.
