HEICO is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist for a full time direct hire position in Hollywood, FL.
Position Summary
The Trade Compliance Specialist is an Empowered Official for HEICO Corporation and responsible for ensuring the company’s import and export activities comply with all applicable laws, regulations and policies at all domestic and international subsidiary locations. This position will report directly to the Director of Trade Compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide guidance to domestic and international subsidiaries on ITAR, EAR, Foreign Trade Regulations, OFAC sanctions, Customs, and other applicable U.S. trade compliance requirements.
- Support implementation and maintenance of Corporate Trade Compliance policies, procedures, and best practices across subsidiary locations.
- Provide guidance on Corporate Trade Compliance policies and procedures.
- Trade compliance due diligence related to mergers, acquisitions, and post-acquisition integration activities
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures and all government regulations.
- Monitor changes to trade laws and regulations.
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in domestic and international trade
- Demonstrates the ability to make independent judgements regarding the interpretation and application of U.S. Export Regulations.
- Strong working knowledge of the ITAR, EAR, OFAC, FTSR, S. Customs regulations and practices.
- Advanced computer
- Highly effective interpersonal and organization skills are
- Team player with the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines, manage a high volume of work.
