International trade is governed by international laws and regulations governing export controls and restrictive measures applicable to hardware, software, services and related technologies. Failure to comply with these regulations exposes manufacturers, their representatives and employees to heavy administrative, criminal, financial and economic penalties, with a risk of significant damage to their reputation. In a constantly changing world, full compliance with these regulations, known as ‘Trade Compliance’, is essential for Thales and its employees.
Reporting to the entity's Trade Compliance Director, the Trade Compliance Manager 2, delegated by the GBU/CBU Trade Compliance Director, helps to ensure that the entity's activities comply with all regulations relating to export controls (national and international applicable to its field), restrictive measures (sectoral or general) and, where applicable, customs regulations.
In this capacity, he/she contributes to the deployment and implementation of the entity's Trade Compliance program, with the main mission of ensuring the continuity of its activities and protecting it against any risk of non-compliance.
