Job Purpose

The Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring VulcanForms’ import and export activities comply with all applicable U.S. and international trade regulations. This is a hands-on role that partners closely with procurement, supply chain, finance, legal and operations to manage day-to-day trade execution, mitigate regulatory risk, and enable efficient cross-border manufacturing and sourcing.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Own and manage VulcanForms’ trade compliance program, including import/export operations across the Americas and global suppliers
  • Develop, implement, and maintain product export and import classifications,  HS/HTS classifications and country-of-origin determination processes
  • Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. export regulations including ITAR and EAR, as well as trade regulations, customs requirements, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Partner Government Agency (PGA) programs, denied party screenings and duty drawback opportunities
  • Support procurement and sourcing teams by assessing cross-border cost implications, duties, tariffs, and trade risks
  • Lead and support internal and external trade audits; identify gaps and drive corrective actions
  • Act as a subject-matter expert and internal resource for trade-related questions and issue resolution
  • Develop and deliver trade compliance training programs, procedures and SOPs
  • Drive continuous improvement of trade processes, systems, and data accuracy to support evolving business models
  • Partner with systems and IT teams on trade-related system implementations, enhancements, and data governance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, International Trade, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in trade compliance, import/export operations, or global supply chain roles
  • Demonstrated experience managing or implementing HS classification programs
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. export regulations including ITAR and EAR, trade audits, customs regulations, and international trade requirements
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate large data sets
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL or similar data tools preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create reports, procedures, and compliance documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Free Trade Agreements, duty drawback, and tariff mitigation strategies
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and trade compliance tools (e.g., SAP GTS, Amber Road, Integration Point, or similar)
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, hardware, or highly regulated industrial environments
  • Prior involvement in systems implementation or process standardization initiatives
  • Experience managing export licenses and regulatory filings

VulcanForms offers a competitive salary and equity package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, VulcanForms provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; generous paid time off; and a 401(k) plan with company match. 

The annual base salary range for this position is $113,000-$156,000



Skills Required
