How will you achieve success:
- Own the end-to-end import entry audit process, reviewing CBP documentation, identifying discrepancies, driving corrective actions, and maintaining audit-ready records.
- Manage Post Summary Corrections (PSCs), validate duty payments, monitor broker performance, and partner with Finance to recover overpayments and ensure compliance.
- Support customs classification accuracy by reviewing HTS assignments, resolving discrepancies, and providing guidance on complex classification issues.
- Analyze import data to identify compliance risks, duty savings opportunities, and process improvements while developing dashboards, automation, and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with Transportation, Finance, Merchandising, brokers, and other cross-functional teams to improve customs processes, documentation, and import data integrity.
What experiences will help you in this role:
- Experience with U.S. customs compliance, including CBP Form 7501, customs valuation, country of origin requirements, HTS classification, and trade remedies such as Sections 301 and 232.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify documentation and duty calculation errors, quantify financial impact, and maintain accurate audit records.
- Experience working with customs brokers, managing Post Summary Corrections (PSCs), and ensuring compliance with importer of record requirements.
- Advanced spreadsheet and data analysis skills, with experience creating reports, calculators, dashboards, or automation that improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, influence process improvements, and manage compliance risks proactively.
