The Trade Compliance Analyst II is responsible for supporting and executing import and export compliance activities, with a strong focus on Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) compliances. This role requires hands-on experience in customs clearance for import and export cargo, coordination with internal stakeholders and external service providers, and ensuring adherence to applicable trade laws, customs regulations, and operational procedures. The ideal candidate will bring 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in trade compliance matters and demonstrate strong analytical, documentation, and coordination skills.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities- Manage and support day-to-day trade compliance activities related to import and export transactions.
- Ensure compliance with SEZ and STPI regulatory requirements, including maintenance of records, filings, reporting, and coordination with relevant authorities.
- Handle customs clearance processes for import and export cargo in coordination with customs brokers, freight forwarders, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Review and validate shipping and customs documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of entry, shipping bills, and other trade-related documents.
- Support classification, valuation, and documentation accuracy to ensure compliant customs declarations and timely cargo movement.
- Monitor adherence to applicable customs laws, trade regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, logistics, finance, legal, and operations to resolve trade compliance issues.
- Assist in audits, compliance reviews, investigations, and responses to regulatory queries as needed.
- Track regulatory changes related to customs, SEZ, and STPI matters and support implementation of process updates.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audit readiness and statutory compliance.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen operational efficiency and compliance performance.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in trade compliance, with practical exposure to import and export compliance matters.
- Working knowledge of SEZ and STPI compliances is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in customs clearance of import and export cargo is required.
