We have an exciting opportunity for a Trades Assistant to join our expanding Liberty Street branch in Cairns, the largest CRG centre in Far North Queensland!

As a Trades Assistant, you will:

• Assist trades personnel with mechanical works, ensuring compliance of safety procedures and high-level quality & contamination control 
• Take all reasonable steps to ensure that assigned tasks are free of faulty workmanship
  assuring quality in the finished product
• Ensure repairs are carried out using the appropriate control guidelines to ensure that
• Overhead Gantry Crane and Forklift use
• General yard cleaning & wash bay duties 
• Work with new state-of-the-art machinery and learn from skilled technicians in the workshop

About You

A successful teammate will have: 

• Previous experience in a similar TA role
• Excellent communication skills and exceptional level of customer focus 
• Overhead Crane and Forklift license is desirable 
• Great time management skills 
• The ability to work within a team and unsupervised 
• Maintain a high level of workplace health and safety standards
