Job Summary: The Tract Bid Draftsman I is an entry-level role responsible for drafting and maintaining bid and planning documents in support of the Development Team. This position works closely with the Tract Bid Department Manager and other departments to ensure accurate cabinet designs, proper clearances, and timely completion of bids and revisions in accordance with company standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft, provide and maintain needed bid and/or job planning documents in conformance with company standards for graphics, text and information processing.
- Provide necessary shop details explaining unusual or non-standard features on cabinets.
- Assure that all cabinets are designed and sized properly for correct installation and operation.
- Assure proper clearances for door swing operation of customer appliances.
- Must be able to meet qualitative and quantitative output of bids and change orders within the scheduled time period.
- Must be able to identify problems with own area and assist in implementing solutions.
- Work and communicate effectively with other departments, especially Sales and Production, to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Occasional travel to other KMC facilities as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
