Job Description:

Job Purpose:

To track every consignment to destination under the most expedite and efficient routing to ensure compliance with client requirements and Marken Quality Standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all shipments are tracked and milestones are updated in Maestro.
• Ensure conditioning process of the shipment as required and update the proper milestone in Maestro. This conditioning process may include: Dry Ice Replenishment, Re-packaging and / or Labeling
• Define the best possible route to dispatch the shipment to its final destination taking in consideration:

• Direct Flight using OAG to find out flight availability.
• Cheapest Option
• Most Experienced Airline
• Arrival times to comply with scheduled delivery requirements.
• Obtain a pre-booked MAWB and consign to the receiving agent or MARKEN office.
• Inform Dispatch that a shipment is ready to be tendered to the Airline as per the respective COT.
• Enter the applicable routing legs into Maestro
• Send the Domestic Alert through Maestro and confirm reception
• Use the appropriate reporting tools to monitor compliance of milestones in Maestro.
• Liaise with all relevant departments within the Global and Domestic Marken network to ensure that all customer requirements are met.
• Collaborate with all Marken offices and Local Service Providers to ensure the logistics transfer is handled efficiently thus meeting the desired turnaround times.
• Analysis of repetitive operational problems and development of possible service solutions.

Requirements:

• Intermediate experience  in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Thorough understanding of Aviation/Airline networks
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence others
• Excellent problem solving and prioritization skills essential
• Flexibility in working hours required which may include weekend coverage
